Sydney Street Food
()

2015 Sydney, Australia: Sydney, Australia, is on my mind. And now, looking at this beautiful street food, it is on your mind, too! Mark and I were fortunate enough to enjoy three delicious months there, all filled with memories of food, culture, and fantastic weather.

How did that incredible opportunity come about? It was another career opportunity for Mark. I was in Charlotte, testing away in my kitchen (where else?) when I got a call from him asking, “So what do you think about a temporary relocation in Sydney?”

Did he have to ask?

I packed two bags. One was filled with my favorite kitchen gear and essential spices. What about clothes, you ask? That is secondary for me. If I really need it, I figure I can always pick it up and call it a souvenir.

Upon arrival, the first impression was Florida meets London. Palm trees in a Hyde Park complete with a St. Mary’s Cathedral. I dropped my bags, grabbed my camera, and headed out!

Mark and I took the first opportunity to walk the streets exploring the street food options and searching for the local markets. Which brings me back to where we start… that beautiful street food made by talented street vendors.

When street food looks this good, you know every day is going to be a “Good Food Day.” These make me hungry, just looking at them and remembering the spicy heat of the red sauce. The heat played beautifully against the cool yogurt drizzle beneath. Yum!

I will leave you for now. More Eating Adventures to come…
